Your agreement with Edad AI
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Edad AI’s website, applications and AI-powered study services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use Edad AI for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 13 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms.
- Provide accurate information, keep it current and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly through the support channel in the Service if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not sell, transfer or share access to your account.
What the Service provides
Edad AI can extract text from uploaded documents and images and generate study manuals, quizzes, flashcards, checklists, progress insights and AI tutor responses. Features, limits and availability may vary by plan and may change as the Service develops.
The Service is a study aid, not a substitute for teachers, institution requirements, official course material or professional advice. We do not guarantee any examination result, grade or learning outcome.
Your content and permission to process it
You keep ownership of content you upload and of your rights in the prompts and materials you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Edad AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, adapt and transmit Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, support and improve the Service and provide features you request.
You confirm that you have all rights and permissions needed to upload Your Content and allow this processing. You are responsible for Your Content and must not upload confidential exam papers, infringing copies, malware or personal data you are not permitted to use.
AI-generated output
AI-generated material may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or similar to content generated for another user. Review outputs and verify important facts, calculations and citations against your source material. Do not rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial or other professional decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, you may use output generated for you, subject to these Terms and any third-party rights. You are responsible for how you use or share that output, including compliance with your school’s academic-integrity and examination rules.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- break the law, facilitate cheating or violate academic rules;
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
- upload malicious code or content that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, deceptive or harmful;
- probe or bypass security, access another user’s account, overload the Service, scrape at scale or disrupt its operation;
- reverse engineer or extract models, source code or underlying components except where the law expressly permits it; or
- resell or commercially exploit the Service or automated output without our written permission.
We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or others.
Subscriptions, payments and cancellation
Paid plans, prices, billing periods, included features and any introductory offer are displayed before checkout. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider and may also be subject to that provider’s terms.
Unless checkout states otherwise, subscriptions renew for the chosen billing period until cancelled. You authorise recurring charges shown at checkout. You may cancel through the available account or support channel; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase.
We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable advance notice. Taxes, bank fees and data charges may apply.
Third-party services
The Service may use or link to third-party authentication, payment, hosting, AI, storage or sharing services. Their products and policies govern your direct interactions with them. Edad AI is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.
Availability and termination
We may add, remove or change features and may suspend the Service for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We do not promise that the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, fail to pay applicable fees, or if required by law. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective after termination.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or accuracy. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edad AI and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost data, profits, opportunities or examination outcomes arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid Edad AI for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
Governing law, changes and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in Nigeria will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the support channel provided in the Service. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
